Terms of Use

Last updated: 3 July 2026

1. Acceptance and scope

These Terms govern your use of Residency Tracker (“the app”), this website at res-web.sosorry.co.uk (“the website”), and the waitlist you can join on it — together, “the Service.” By using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Not professional advice

The app is an informational tool only. It is not tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice. Residency rules are complex, change over time, and depend on facts the app cannot fully capture. Outputs are estimates based on the information you enter and on published rules as we understand them — and for some countries the app deliberately shows only a rough day count, not a residency verdict, because a simple rule would be misleading. Always confirm your residency position with a qualified professional before making any decision. You are solely responsible for your tax affairs. You acknowledge that the outputs are estimates and that you will independently verify them.

3. No guarantee of accuracy

We work hard to reflect official rules accurately and cite our sources, but we do not warrant that the Service is error-free, complete, or up to date. Rules may have changed since our last update.

4. Your account and data

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your account credentials secure.

5. Subscriptions

Some features require a paid subscription (Residency Tracker Pro), billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Where offered, a free trial of 14 days converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store / Google Play account settings.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any tax, penalty, interest, loss, or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

7. The waitlist

Joining the waitlist on the website means you consent to us storing your email address so we can notify you when the app launches or Pro opens up. We will not use it for anything else. You can ask us to remove you at any time by emailing iam@sosorry.co.uk.

8. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service, attempt to break its security, or use it unlawfully.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the changes.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

11. Operator and contact

Residency Tracker is operated by Nayeem Moez Janmohamed, trading as So Sorry. Contact: iam@sosorry.co.uk.
